It's the holiday season and a new year beckons.
This time of year is such a good opportunity for reflection. Once again I’m so grateful for you, our loyal customers, for the continued support of our small business.
And while there’s still uncertainly in the world, I have a feeling of hope and optimism for the year ahead. The trade and food shows are on schedule for 2023 and I'm excited to see and taste new products to bring into Jill's Table.
Our kitchens continue to be an important place of comfort and inspiration. Preparing food for our family and friends is an incredible way to show we care.
So please, keep cooking and caring.

On the “caring” note, I’m so grateful to those of you who contributed to the Business Cares initiative that I’ve been involved in for four years. As Christmas Eve approaches, my plan is to get back to our eclectic family menu that includes tourtière, meatballs, and Asian dumplings.
It will be a small gathering with our immediate family, followed by a Christmas Day brunch that includes an Italian meal. I can’t wait!
Lastly, I want to thank my incredible team at Jill’s Table for their many talents and continued dedication.

MEATBALLS WITH SAUCE

These simple crowd-pleasers are one of Jill's top family favourites; her family has been serving meatballs on Christmas Eve for over 50 years. Delicious over pasta, or serve them with a basket of bread on the side. Or make a meatball sub!

CHEESE FONDUE
|
Few meals are more fun and tasty than fondue. We've updated our classic recipe to suggest a couple of favourite store crowd-pleasers: Paz cheese dots and Mario Fongo breadsticks.
There's no wrong way to enjoy fondue. It's a fabulous means to enjoy whatever breads, cured meats, fresh fruits and vegetables you have on hand.

TOURTIÈRE
|
This is a special traditional treat Jill makes every Christmas Eve. The pastry is very easy to prepare and so tender and delicious. Serve this with Jill’s Table Apple Tamarind chutney to make it extra special.
