Well, it’s official. Summer is here… that means it’s time to take some time to really enjoy all the wonderful things this much anticipated season has to offer.
With the Canada Day holiday quickly approaching, we thought it an opportune time to celebrate many of the Canadian-made products we are proud to have at Jill’s Table.
We're also sharing some easy recipes that incorporate them, for you to enjoy with your family and friends (hopefully al fresco)!
Over the past few years we’ve been very intentional about sourcing both food and houseware products that are Canadian made. As a small, independent business we know first-hand how important it is to support local.

Starting on the food front, Moss Berry Farm’s delicious jams and chutneys have been a staple on our shelves for many years. With strawberries in season now, we were inspired to make a tasty smoothie recipe using their strawberry jam, frozen local strawberries and almond milk. A great refreshment for the long weekend.
This family-run business also produces our private label chutney which is a top seller. Check out their great selection the next time you are in.

Have you heard of The Garlic Box? It started as a small business in Hensall, Ontario, and we particularly love their chili lime garlic splash.
We’ve created a wonderful salad recipe featuring chicken that has been cooked with the splash, along with lots of colourful veggies. The finishing touch on this Tex-Mex salad is crumbled tortilla chips from Casa Bonita. A crowd pleaser for sure.
In the summer, it’s always nice to have something on hand in the freezer. Look no further than Paz Cheese Dots. These gluten-free delights are inspired by Brazilian pão de queijo and they’re just the ticket to pop into the toaster oven when people drop over. Dip them into your favourite tomato sauce. They never last long!

From the east coast, we’ve been selling Meyer stainless cookware from PEI. We recently added their HybridClad frying pans to the roster.
This pan is the best combo of stainless and non-stick, and is available in three sizes. There’s so much you can make in this cookware, this season.
